He will consider who\/what was the reference group for journalists (\u201cpolitics\u201d vs. the\n\u201cpublic\u201d) and how this reference group changed. His work will consider the various types and\nlevels of socialist journalism in Hungary, such as propagandist, investigative, factory, local,\ninformative, tabloid, youth, etc., including the representation of workplace societies in factory\nnewspapers and the \u201cnewspaper editorial\u201d itself as a specific workplace. Tak\u00e1cs will examine\nthe ways in which different types of journalists and editors served as representatives of a\nmiddle-rank political agency who were political in their texts, taking an intermediate position\nbetween state propaganda and reader expectations (\u201cvoice from below\u201d) in the middle of the\nhierarchy (cf.
