The\ncharacteristics of the landscape and the earlier farming methods that gave rise to the farms and\nthen to the cooperatives in this area also influenced the course of regime change in the region,\nand thus study of these question in the future should also cover the processes after 1989\u201390.\nEuropean comparisons of contemporary Hungarian farm life had already been carried out by\nresearchers in the 1920s and 1930s, so there would be a basis for international comparisons.
