Nagy Péter

Nagy, Péter (postdoc researcher) will focus on the long term historical traditions of workers’ behavior at the workplace in urban areas. His research will center on industrial workers, particularly in the steel and machine factories of Northern Hungary (RimamuránySalgótarjáni Vasmű Rt) and the mining corporations and important industrial plants in Budapest (e. g. Ganz, Láng). Nagy will explore the social history of workers’ relationships with foremen, managers, and the company from the early nineteenth century up to the beginnings of nationalizations after the Second World War and 1956.

Kutatási területe az ipar és az ipari társadalom, azon belül a munkásság társadalma a 19.
századtól az 1950-es évekig. A WORK Kutatócsoportban a munkásság érdekérvényesítési
eszközeivel, ezen belül különösen a munkástanácsokkal, a munkás munkához, munkahelyhez
való viszonyaival foglalkozik a 20. század elejétől az 1950-es évek végéig.
